Alliance for a Green Economy, Environmental Defense Fund, and Rewiring America came to an agreement with Consolidated Edison (ConEd) and other rate case parties to help New York families save money when switching to heat pumps. The agreement has the potential to save ConEd customers who adopt heat pumps up to $131 million over the next three years.
In May 2025, CEG Partner Ron Nelson presented two proposed rates, seasonal and time-of-use, for the rate case to make monthly bills more consistent and affordable for heat pump customers.
