As utilities and regulators look to optimize investments and operations to address affordability, reliability, and resilience challenges, a new regulatory approach is emerging: integrating gas and electric planning. Deeper coordination between our two energy delivery systems has the potential to reduce the risks of overbuilding expensive infrastructure, improve readiness for extreme weather, and prepare us to adapt to accelerating electrification. Still, as of early 2026, the roadmap to put integrated planning into practice at scale remains largely uncharted. At this Executive Forum, industry leaders have the ability to define 1) what integrated gas and electric planning can and should look like, and 2) how we get from here to there. Join Advanced Energy United, DNV, leading utilities, and key stakeholders as they take the first steps together to identify the primary technical and regulatory barriers to integrated planning and then chart a collaborative path forward.
