Alex Pfeifer-Rosenblum is a Senior Manager in the Advanced Rate Design + Cost of Service and Distribution System Planning practices at Current Energy Group. He provides expert testimony and regulatory strategy across a range of topics, including proactive distribution system planning, transportation electrification, rate design, cost of service modeling, flexible service connections, grid transparency, and accelerating energization.
Prior to joining Current Energy Group, Alex led regulatory engagement at CALSTART, where he focused on ensuring that electric infrastructure and rate design can support widespread transportation electrification from commercial fleets. His testimony and recommendations have contributed to the adoption of innovative rate designs and have shaped some of the country’s first proactive planning frameworks and flexible service connection programs.
Previously, Alex was a Manager at Strategen Consulting, where he supported consumer advocates, public agencies, and environmental NGOs in general rate cases and other regulatory proceedings related to the clean energy transition, with a focus on cost of service and advanced rate design.
Alex holds a Master of Public Policy from the Goldman School of Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley, and a BA in History from Wesleyan University.
