Andy is a Senior Manager in the DER Integration and Advanced Rate Design + Cost of Service practices at CEG. With over 12 years of experience across consulting, nonprofit, and utility sector roles, he has expertise in utility system planning, DER program analysis, value of DER, non-wire solutions, and transportation electrification. Prior to joining CEG, he was the lead DER analyst with Portland General Electric, where he conducted DER potential studies and led various DSP workstreams to integrate DERs into T&D planning activities.
Andy also previously worked with Energy Trust of Oregon, Oregon’s statewide energy efficiency implementer. There he specialized in electric system avoided costs, non-wire alternatives analysis, and cost-effectiveness for the energy-efficiency portfolio. Andy is a recognized expert in DER Planning and has taught graduate courses in Smart Grid topics with both Portland State University and Oregon State University. He holds a BS dual degree in Economics and Environmental Studies from Portland State University.
