Dan is a Director in the Regulatory & Policy Innovation practice. He is an expert in utility ratemaking and business model reform, including performance-based regulation, alternative rate design, and DER integration. He provides clients with technical assistance and strategic advising to achieve their organizational objectives in pursuit of clean energy outcomes. Prior to joining CEG, Dan served in the U.S. Department of Energy Loan Programs Office. He has also held research and advisory roles with energy service providers and think tanks, including eight years at Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI). Dan received a bachelor’s in economics and environmental studies from Dartmouth College and a master’s in technology and policy from MIT.
