Katie is a Manager in the Power System Planning practice. She has a decade of experience across consulting, nonprofit, and renewable energy development, with expertise in utility resource planning, clean energy compliance, renewable procurement, carbon policy, and Western electricity market development. Her work focuses on IRPs, clean energy implementation plans, capacity expansion modeling, renewable cost assumptions, resource adequacy, and the integration of state clean energy policies into regional market design.
Prior to joining Current Energy Group, Katie worked with Renewable Northwest, representing clean energy interests in regulatory, legislative, and stakeholder proceedings across the Pacific Northwest. Her work included providing expert testimony before the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission, participating in SPP Markets+ and CAISO EDAM stakeholder processes, and implementing Washington’s Clean Energy Transformation Act and Climate Commitment Act. Earlier in her career, Katie managed the development of a $250M+ utility-scale wind and solar portfolio at EDP Renewables.
Katie holds master’s degrees in Environmental Science and Chemistry from Indiana University, a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Hanover College, and has completed additional coursework in international energy transitions at Sciences Po’s Paris School of International Affairs.
