Meera is a Senior Manager in the Gas Utility Regulation practice. Meera has 14 years of experience in energy modeling and policy, with a focus on building decarbonization pathways. She has expertise in gas demand forecasting, gas decarbonization pathways, Clean Heat Plans, building electrification, gas demand-side management and demand response, cost recovery, line extension allowances, cost-benefit analysis, and non-pipeline alternatives.
Prior to joining Current Energy Group, Meera was the Building Decarbonization Manager at Western Resource Advocates (WRA), where she led WRA’s regulatory and legislative work on building electrification and gas transition issues. While at WRA, she was appointed to the Colorado Air Pollution Control Division’s Clean Heat Technical Working Group and the Colorado Environmental Justice Action Task Force.
Meera holds a Masters in Environmental Management from Duke University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the College of William and Mary.
